CBS Buys Israeli Adaptation From 'Rules of Engagement' Producer
CBS has bought a pitch based on among Israel's longest-running sitcoms. The multi-camera comedy project, titled Existence Isn't Everything, concentrates on a middle-aged, recently divorced couple who was simply bad at marriage uncover they're really bad at divorce - and could't help when you're associated with one anothers' lives (still having sex, etc). Rules of Engagement executive producer Mike Sikowitz, who offered the pitch to CBS through his overall deal in the new the new sony, will co-write and executive produce with Israeli creator, Daniel Lappin. Israeli actress-producer Noa Tishby, who's known stateside for selling Cinemax the rights to In Treatment, plus an executive being designated by Israeli production company Reshet will join the pair as Broadened polystyrene round the comedy project. Everything will probably be produced by Old Charlie Productions and Reshet in colaboration using the new the new sony Pictures Television. Due to its part, CBS is not not used to the organization of Israeli formats. In 2008, the web added short-were living romanatic dramedy The Ex List, an adaptation based on Israel's popular Mythological X, towards the schedule.
