Stockwell to helm 'Geronimo'

LONDON -- John Stockwell is placed to direct Bin Laden thriller "Code Title Geronimo," which Current Pictures will start shopping to purchasers in the American Film Market in a few days. Stockwell, whose credits include "Dark Tide" with Halle Berry, Olivia Wilde and Josh Duhamel starrer "Turistas," and "In to the Blue," will direct the pic from the script by Kendall Lampkin. Story is dependant on the military incursion into Bin Laden's compound in the perspective of the small contingent of Navy Closes. Pic requires a look in their lives as tensions rise together until they discover the identity of the latest target, whose code title is Geronimo. Principal photography around the pic is skedded to start in The month of january 2012. Stockwell is repped by ICM while Lampkin is repped by Madhouse Entertainment. Current Pictures, headed up by Nicolas Chartier, includes a hefty AFM slate this season: Photos being looked to purchasers include Kristen Wiig and Annette Bening comedy "Imogene," Nicolas Cage and John Cusack starrer "Frozen Ground" and Morgan Freeman starrer "At Dog's Dork," helmed by Take advantage of Reiner.
